AccessData certifications are obtained by completing a multiple choice exam which consists of Knowledge Based and Practical Based elements. Although there are no prerequisites, certification candidates will benefit from taking AccessData courses specifically designed to give you a firm foundation in the technology of your choice.
It is recommended that students utilize their training manuals from previously taken courses as study guides. Focusing on the learning points and lab exercises from the course modules will best prepare the certification candidate for test questions and practical assessment activities.
AccessData Certified Examiner® (ACE®)
The ACE credential demonstrates your proficiency with Forensic Toolkit technology. Although there are no prerequisites, ACE candidates will benefit from taking the AccessData BootCamp and Windows Forensics – Core courses as a foundation. In preparation for the process, candidates are encouraged to test their knowledge of the skills acquired in the AccessData BootCamp and Windows Forensics – XP courses by reviewing their course manuals for the above-mentioned courses. In addition, you may use the ACE study guide and preparation videos below.
This study guide provides concept based questions that allow candidates to recognize areas that may need focus before beginning the ACE exam. The study guide also provides sample questions similar to what will be encountered in the Knowledge Based Assessment.

AccessData Mobile Examiner (AME)
The AME credential demonstrates your proficiency with Mobile Phone Examiner Plus as well as a general knowledge on process, cellular networks, technology and procedure. Although there are no prerequisites, AME candidates will benefit from taking the Mobile Forensics 101 Course and/or the Mobile Phone Examiner Plus course as a foundation. In preparation for the process, candidates are encouraged to test their knowledge of the skills acquired in the Mobile Forensics 101 and Mobile Phone Examiner Plus course by reviewing their course manuals for the above-mentioned courses. In addition, you may also use the MPE+ videos located on the support page, the MPE+ FAQ and LMS Quickstart.

Your SCE credential will boost recognition of your skills and demonstrate your software abilities to an employer. There is no cost to take the SCE exam and the student has two attempts to pass. If the student is unable to pass the SCE exam after two attempts, he or she will be required to take the preparatory course or wait 1 year before being eligible to retest. Certification is current for a two-year period.
Your SCCM credential will boost recognition of your skills and demonstrate your advanced Case/Project Management software skills to an employer. There is no cost to take the SCCM exam and the student has two attempts to pass. If the student is unable to pass the SCCM exam after two attempts, he or she will be required to take the preparatory course or wait 1 year before being eligible to retest. Certification is current for a two-year period.
Your SCA credential will boost recognition of your skills and demonstrate your advanced administrative and back-end software skills to an employer. There is no cost to take the SCA exam and the student has two attempts to pass. If the student is unable to pass the SCA exam after two attempts, he or she will be required to take the preparatory course or wait 1 year before being eligible to retest. Certification is current for a two-year period.
