President & COO
Brian Karney joined AccessData June 2007 as the company’s COO. Shortly after joining, Brian spearheaded the refocusing of the company on the enterprise and eDiscovery market. Prior to joining AccessData, Karney worked for Guidance Software in Pasadena, California, and prior to that he worked for CenterBeam, a Silicon Valley IT outsourcing company. Brian Karney is one of the foremost names in the Forensics and incident response market.
Senior Vice President, World Wide Sales
Trey Tramonte is the Senior VP of World Wide Sales for AccessData and is in charge of all commercial and international sales related activities including sales, technical sales, and customer support. Prior to joining AccessData he ran the midmarket group at Guidance Software where he rapidly increased sales by well over 100% YOY. Before joining Guidance he worked at several other technology companies including BMC Software, BindView (purchased by Symantec) and Dell. Trey believes the cornerstone of his success revolves around listening to clients and then working with them in order to help them achieve their objectives.
Craig Carpenter is Chief Marketing Officer at AccessData, overseeing global marketing activities. Prior to joining AccessData Craig was VP of Marketing and Business Development at Recommind where he pioneered and popularized “predictive coding” and “predictive information governance” into the hottest trends in the e-discovery and GRC markets, respectively. Before joining Recommind Craig worked at Mirapoint and Fortinet (NASDAQ: FTNT), where he ran global field and channel marketing for the network security leader. Craig has also taught graduate-level courses at the University of San Francisco in digital rights management and high-tech marketing. Craig believes the key to success is always maintaining a high-integrity, customer-centric focus.
Senior Vice President, US Sales
Brent Thompson joined AccessData in November of 2007 and is the Senior Vice President of US Sales in charge of all Commercial, State and Local, Legal, and Federal Sales within the United States. Prior to joining AccessData Brent was a Global Account Manager with BMC Software, where he successfully exceeded company goals every year. Subsequent to his time at BMC he worked in Litigation Support Services with The Medleh Group. Brent’s experience and proven track record in Enterprise Software and Litigation Support has been key in developing/managing the multifaceted sales organization that makes up the US team today.
Vice President, Federal Business
Richard Coffman joined AccessData in 2012 and is Vice President of the company’s Federal business. Prior to joining AccessData Richard held various sales and sales management positions over a 20 year career in security, electronic discovery and Litigation support and system management at technology companies including StoredIQ (acquired by IBM), BMC Software, IBM and Guidance Software. Richard is a licensed attorney and holds a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law and a Bachelors degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
Senior Vice President International Markets
Simon Whitburn joined AccessData in September 2008 as the International Sales Director covering all aspect of business outside of the United States. Simon has spent the last 15 years of his career in Security, Forensics and eDiscovery with McAfee, F5 and Guidance Software. Simon has been instrumental in developing the international AccessData team and markets ensuring that AccessData understands the needs, challenges and demands of the customers whether in Law Enforcement, Government or Corporation, in APAC, EMEA or the Americas.
Vice President, U.S. Channel Sales
Chad joined AccessData in 2012 and leads the company’s US channel sales strategy and go-to-market operations. He brings more than 15 years of experience in the technology industry including system management, security, and infrastructure software. Most recently Chad served as Alliances Director at CA Technologies. Prior to CA, he held channel leadership roles at BMC Software, Quest Software, and NetIQ, where he had a proven track record of expanding indirect revenue streams to support the company’s expansion and growth targets.

Vice President of Cyber Security
Jason has over 20 years experience in telecommunications fraud prevention, physical security management and network security investigations. During his career, he has developed and implemented overall network security, physical security and fraud control programs for several global organizations. He has also developed security and fraud awareness training seminars used to educate employees, as well as federal, state and local law enforcement officials, and has established and operated security incident response teams and forensic investigation units for several large enterprise organizations.
Vice President of Mobile Forensic Solutions
Lee Reiber joined AccessData June 2009 bringing his training company, Mobile Forensics Inc, into AccessData’s training group to focus on mobile device forensics. Shortly after joining, Lee refocused the company on mobile forensics software and re-engineered the mobile phone tool MPE to MPE+ as well as bringing MPE+ Velocitor to the product line. Prior to joining AccessData, Lee was the CEO and owner of Mobile Forensics Inc, and prior to that he worked for the Boise Police Department. Lee continues to speak on mobile forensic problems and their solutions around the globe and continues to contribute to the Mobile Forensics community.
Vice President, Professional Services
Kevin Golas is the VP of Professional Services for Accessdata and responsible for the development and direction of AccessData’s Professional Services division worldwide. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), with over 15 years of experience in professional services, solutions delivery and business development. He has worked with clients in the financial services, healthcare, information technology, state and federal government, and retail industries. Prior to Joining AccessData, Kevin has served as a senior member of the worldwide forensics team with CA, a manager of computer forensics with Kroll and a Senior Manager of Investigations for T-mobile. In this capacity Kevin was responsible for over 25,000 investigations per year with a staff of over 35 professionals.
Vice President, Training
Keith Lockhart is responsible for the development of forensic and encryption training solutions for local, state, federal and international law enforcement agencies, as well as worldwide corporate entities involved in the prevention, investigation and prosecution of high-technology crime. Prior to joining AccessData, Keith served as a computer crime specialist at the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) in Fairmont, WV. Keith served as program manager of the INET (Internet Trace Evidence Recovery & Analysis) course, providing the framework of complex research and design for its development and maintenance. Prior to NW3C, Keith was a police officer with Kent State University Police Department.
Vice President, Operations
Michael Stevens joined AccessData July 2006 and is responsible for the logistical aspects of the business. Prior to AccessData, Michael worked at TGN managing the company’s software distribution division. Prior to that, Michael worked for several technology manufacturing companies, including Sonic Innovations, 3COM and USRobotics. Michael has more than 15 years experience in domestic and international operations and specializes in the implementation and administration of ERP systems, such as Oracle 11i and SAP.
Dan J. Chapman
Vice President, Litigation Support Services
Dan Chapman is the Vice President of Litigation Support Services where he’s responsible for growing and developing AccessData’s ESI processing and hosted document review services. Dan brings over 15 years of experience in the litigation support/ediscovery industry where he’s successfully led project management teams, consultative sales organizations and operations facilities. Dan is CEDS certified and has authored and presented CLE’s on all aspects of the EDRM throughout the legal community including corporate counsel, law firms, and bar associations. Dan holds an MBA and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
